Masport Osburn Back Brick Kit (Suits Dry & Wet)
Fire bricks are designed to withstand extreme temperatures, and used to protect the steel sides of your wood heater from excess temperatures, meaning your wood fire is more durable and will last longer.
Although more durable to a normal brick, the fire bricks within your wood fire will eventually break down over time. Before installing fire bricks, check to ensure that none are broken or damaged in any way. If so, have the damaged ones replaced. Check the firebrick for damage at least annually and replace any broken or damaged ones with new ones.
